I am an artist and currently the section chair of Sculpture at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Recent achievements include a 2009 Kresge Fellowship, as well as a 2009 MacDowell Colony Fellowship. I was born and raised in Zimbabwe and Zambia, then moved to the U.S.A. in my adulthood. I received BFA degrees in Sculpture in 1996 and in Painting with a minor in Drawing in 1997 from the University of Georgia, Athens. My MFA Sculpture degree was from the University of Notre Dame in 2000. I have worked, exhibited and taught both nationally as well as internationally.
